Paris is the home of several highly rated museums including the Louvre, the Musee d’Orsay, and the Pompidou Center. It also has the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower. After visiting the the museums and monuments, you can relax in one of the beautiful gardens such as the Luxembourg Garden.

Paris has the best food – at least in my opinion. Croissants or other pastries for breakfast, and crepes or galettes for lunch, just whets the appetite for luxurious French cuisine for dinner. My favorites include, French onion soup, duck a l’orange, coq au vin, and pretty much anything. On my next trip, I hope to try raclette. (I’ll tell you about it if I do). If you go to Paris, visit a cafe for coffee or tea and enjoy some people watching.
Before I visited Paris, I had heard critical comments about Parisians, but I found that they were incorrect. All the Parisians that I talked to were very pleasant and welcoming.
